The Treasurer's primary function is to preserve, protect and manage the financial resources of the Town. The Treasurer is responsible for the receipt, accurate accounting and prudent investment of all Town funds. Treasurer maintains adequate liquidity and ensuring compliance with the Mass. General Laws, Town of Wakefield ordinances and any other applicable financial mandate. Treasurer is responsible for all municipal borrowings. The Treasurer is the custodian of the stabilization fund, trust funds, and pension funds and the duties include the
management of all Town Tax Title.
