The Wakefield Zoning Board Of Appeals is authorized to function under the General Law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Chapter 40A and 40B and the Town By-Laws. Five regular members and 1 alternate member are appointed by the Board Of Selectmen. The public hearings by the Board are the result of applications in the following areas.
For a special permit under the Town By-Laws
For a variance from the requirements of the Town By-Laws
By a person aggrieved by the decision of the Building Inspector or other town administrator offices.
